Ann Patchett at Powell's Books
Laura Stanfill, publisher of Forest Avenue Press and a PubWest board member, visits with Ann Patchett during her Commonwealth book tour, which included a stop at Powell's Books on Tuesday night that attracted more than 360 attendees. Ann's copy editor for Commonwealth, Anne Connell, is a friend of Laura's from Women in Portland Publishing, which led to this image, despite Ann's rules about only allowing candid photos at her events due to crowd volume.

Book Industry Environmental Council
Fall 2016 Meeting
The Book Industry Environmental Council is a small but dedicated group consisting of publishers, printers, paper merchants and mills that are passionate about examining the environmental impacts of the publishing industry, and educating ourselves and our industry colleagues about these issues. PubWest members are invited to our first ever west-coast meeting for an afternoon of speakers, followed by a meet & greet with light refreshments at Chronicle Books.
