Monroe County Art in Public Places (AIPP)

has issued a REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

for pre-qualified artists for the


Public Defender’s Office

Artwork Budget: $25,300


Public Defender's Offices (Key West) 316 Simonton St, are situated in a restored and repurposed building within Key West’s historic downtown district. The property has been in existence for almost 130 years, and is the second oldest structure on the block. 316 Simonton Street is one of the few remaining brick structures constructed in the late 19th century not related to the military.

The proposed artwork should reflect some aspect of Monroe County,

such as its history, people, and the natural environment. The property has been completely renovated and updated as a state-of-the-art office complex.
