Informational Meeting Will Discuss
Chronic Wasting Disease in Wyoming's Deer and Elk
An informational meeting discussing the process for developing a new chronic wasting disease (CWD) plan for the state of Wyoming will be held tomorrow night in Pinedale at the Public Library from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Please attend to learn more about the process and how you can provide input to the new plan. This collaborative meeting will be a presentation followed by time to break up into smaller groups to develop solutions and input for the new CWD plan.

This plan needs to include a path forward for phasing out feedgrounds and promoting robust populations of natural predators to help reduce the prevalence of chronic wasting disease in Wyoming's deer and elk.

A meeting will be held by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department on the Chapter 47 Wolf Hunting Regulations for the 2019 hunting season at the Public Library in Jackson at 6:00 pm. The state of Wyoming is once again planning a large harvest of wolves including pups. Wolves are still considered "predators" in over 85% of the state and can be killed at any time by any means. Inside the Trophy Game Management Area, wolves can be hunted from September 1st to December 31st with an extended season to be proposed in hunt area 13 until March 31st. See our previously sent action alert for more information and talking points.
