ATTENTION HIKERS, BIKERS, SLEDDERS, CROSS COUNTRY SKIERS, CAMPERS, LOGGERS, MINERS, HUNTERS, FISHERS AND ALL CONCERNED CITIZENS!

If you ever leave a paved road for recreation and/or employment, you must attend this town hall meeting tomorrow night, April 17th at 6pm at Splatsin Community Center in Enderby. Our local economy and lifestyle are at risk and the threat is immediate!

This informative session will shed light on information that you may not be aware of in regards to Section 11 and the Draft Partnership Agreement and the Caribou Recovery Plans and the Back Country Closures. The province had neglected to provide us, the stakeholders with the 60 days consultation process as promised, instead they offered us the opportunity for feedback from March 21 - May 3 which conveniently was extended yesterday until May 31! This is not enough time! We need at least 1 year to 18 months for consultation! We need to hold them accountable to this. The province has not provided us with a Socio-Economic Study in our area to assess the impact this will have! We need to hold them accountable to this! The province is not providing the stakeholders with real data and/or science to back this agreement, we need to hold them accountable to this!

Unless we speak up and tell both provincial and federal governments your concerns, entire swaths of this province, particularly in the interior and the north may be closed.
