Happy New Year and thank you for supporting us into another year! For many, this week marks the beginning of new jobs, new opportunities, career clarity and a fresh start. However, for many others, this week is just another week or a reminder that some goals haven't been reached. With the holidays over and reality staring us down, last year's problems, for lots of folks, are still today's problems.
Some of you may still be on the job hunt and despite it being a new year, it doesn't change the fact that finding a new job remains challenge. If you're watching others seemingly have their life together on LinkedIn or social media and you're just trying to make it out of bed, this message is for you. Last year was an incredibly difficult year for the public health community...and it's still in recovery. As we head into our 5th year of business, I want you to know that we are here for you and cheering you on.
This year is a milestone year for us and what better way spend this year than to give back to the public health community. Our newsletter/job board has been our staple since the beginning and this year and we will continue to share new opportunities. So what's new? Well, I'll be talking to you all much more this year...on video. My plan is to share guidance with you all in a way that is real, raw and in alignment with the times we are in. No sugarcoating. As a business, we will be bringing back more opportunities to engage in-person and virtually, similar to our 2022 Federal Careers in Public Health Series.
I'm excited for what this year has in store and if there are more ways we can offer support, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am so grateful to all of you and the shares, referrals, praises, etc., it all means so much to me and I want you all to know you're appreciated. Wishing you all a great year ahead!
P.S. Our Public Health Talent Spotlight initiative is continuing this year and will resume this week! We will post public health professionals who have been laid off to increase their access/reach to potential employers.
