Stakeholders Invited to Westchase District Public Hearing

Thursday, October 16, 2025

9 a.m.

1st floor conference room

10370 Richmond (at Beltway 8)

All Westchase District property owners, property managers, business owners and stakeholders are invited to attend the District's annual public hearing on Thursday, October 16.

At this meeting, we'll share updates on all the accomplishments of 2025 and the Board's plans for 2026. Specifically, guests will hear about how our plans have adapted as a result of the popularity of Camden Park, the installation of new monument signs, new landscaping and public art, plus the positive results of our advertising program.

"We call it a public hearing," noted President and CEO Irma Sanchez. "But it really is a 'State of Westchase District' report. This is an excellent opportunity for property owners and managers, business owners and residents to learn all about the latest developments in Westchase District. They'll leave more informed about the area and we promise to wrap it all up in an hour."

Check out a sneak peek with our Report to the Community, which has been mailed to all property owners.

Rally House and Burlington Expand Westchase Retail Offerings

Do you have a rogue cousin who cheers for the Tennessee Titans while every else in the family cheers for the Houston Texans? Or are you living in a house divided with one college-age child at the University of Texas while the other college-age child is at Texas A&M?

Then make Christmas shopping easier this season with a trip to Rally House. This national chain, which opened its Westchase location this summer at 11081 Westheimer (at Wilcrest), carries officially-licensed merchandise for professional and collegiate sports teams, including the Texans, Astros, Dynamo, Rockets, Cougars, Aggies, Longhorns and more. They have jerseys, caps, sweatshirts, t-shirts, polos and other branded swag representing the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS and WNBA. At Rally House, you’ll find merchandise representing teams from across the country, but their focus is on your favorite Texas teams. View their merchandise online and then shop at the Westchase location, one of only 27 stores across Texas.

Just across the street from Rally House, shoppers can find plenty of bargains at Burlington’s newly opened Westchase District location. Burlington is best known as an off-price retailer featuring discounted department store goods, including clothing, home decor and toys. Located at 10960 Westheimer, Burlington takes over the space previously anchored by Office Depot. Property owner Amirco Properties is leading a major redevelopment of the Lakeside Village retail center, including exterior upgrades, interior renovations and installing new landscaping. Get ready for more retails offerings at Lakeside Village, including Luce Coffee Roasters which will open later this year, and a 12,000-square-foot Skechers flagship store is coming in 2026.

Townsen Memorial Hospital to open Westchase Location

(Top, left-right) Renderings show the nursing station and post-anesthesia care unit and (bottom, left-right) lobby waiting room and exterior of the new Townsen Memorial Hospital in Westchase District.

Townsen Memorial Health System will soon open its second area hospital at 5850 Rogerdale. The 13-bed boutique hospital in Westchase District will have an emergency room, out-patient.surgery center, imaging facilities and cardiac catheterization lab. The Townsen system was established in Houston in 2020 when it purchased an existing hospital in Humble. With the opening of the Westchase facility, the system will include two hospitals, five free-standing surgery centers and six imaging centers – one of which is also located in Westchase at 10008 Bellaire Blvd.

Public Relations Representative Kayla Ho said that some of the services at their Westchase District location are unique to small hospitals. “We’ll have two high-tech MRI machines that offer better resolution and can cut imaging time in half, and our cath lab will accommodate smaller cardiology procedures that are typically only available at large hospitals,” said Ho. She said there are more than 700 medical providers associated with Townsen Memorial and they accept all major commercial insurance plans.

Ho says the culture at Townsen Memorial is different from larger hospitals. “When you call a larger hospital, you often get passed from department to department,” she said. “Here we have a more collaborative approach. It’s not uncommon for our chief nursing officer to engage directly with patients.”

She noted that this area of town is underserved by hospitals and the leadership team is looking forward to getting to know the Westchase and Alief communities. They are currently hiring for all positions.
