Due to the heightened awareness of the recent development in our community, the Mt. Lookout Community Council wanted to be sure you were aware of a quickly assembled public meeting. At
10 a.m. on
May 30 (tomorrow)
, the City's Economic Growth and Zoning Committee is holding a public meeting to discuss establishing the Interim Development Control (IDC) Overlay in Hyde Park and Mt. Lookout. The purpose of the IDC is to study the possible creation of a Conservation District which is a tool the City can use to help curb home demolitions, lot splitting and problems of mansionization. The public is invited to speak at this meeting. The Economic Growth and Zoning Committee will be held at
10 a.m.
, City Hall, Council Chambers, Room 300, 801 Plum Street. We encourage all those who are passionate about this issue to attend.
Additionally, please mark you calendar for the Mt. Lookout Community Council's public meeting on Monday, June 18, at 7:30pm at the Christ the King Parish Center. A representative from the city will be present to continue this important conversation with our community.
