On Wednesday, June 16th, gather your friends and head over to 3 Corners Grill & Tap to support our next restaurant fundraiser. 20% of the tab will be donated to our branch to be used for scholarships.

3 Corners offers carry-out as well as curbside pickup, and has a very nice outdoor eating area.

The attached vouchers are good for the entire day, from opening at 11 a.m. until closing at 11 p.m.

Used Book Sale
A decision about when to resume used book collections and what to do with the books remaining in storage will be made at a committee meeting on June 10th.
The 2021 June Sale has already been cancelled due to the lack of a venue.

Interest Groups
Most interest groups will take a summer break and resume in September. Pictured here is the book featured at the June meeting of one of our book discussion groups.

This is the final edition for the 71st branch year.
The first edition for the new branch year will be released sometime in late July or early August.

IL TO LOSE ONE US CONGRESS SEAT

Illinois is poised to lose one seat in the US Congress as of the 2022 election. Loss of the seat not only reduces representation in Congress, but reduces power via committee memberships and reduces the number of presidential Electoral College votes. Illinois lawmakers have until June 30 to approve a new district map despite the fact that the results of the 2020 census are not likely to be available before August. To read more, click here.
