are back in session. Oh the Traffic!

Southwest Elementary School's carline often backs up onto Holder Road. Their arrival time is 7:40 to 8:10, meaning traffic could start backing up as early as 7:30. This should not affect our arrival, other than our All day or Sunrise students, who are trickling, in and our Faculty/Staff. However, their dismissal time is 2:40 to 3:00, and traffic sometimes backs all the way up to Lewisville Clemmons Rd. Parents often begin lining up early, and the line gets very long. Sometimes there is a Crossing Guard or a Sherriff directing traffic, which helps, but that is not guaranteed. In the past, the traffic has improved after a week or two, but we would like to share a trick with you in the meantime.

Directions Around the Public School Traffic

If you are coming from 421, go past West Forsyth Highschool and turn left onto Linwood Drive. Travel straight until you reach a four-way stop, and turn left on Knob Hill Drive. At the next stop sign, turn right onto Springfield Farms Road. Follow Springfield Farms Road to Pebble Run Lane (not at a stop sign). Turn left onto Pebble Run Lane. Follow Pebble Run Lane to the stop sign and take a left onto Holder Road. Last, take a slight left turn onto the WSM campus.

If you are coming from Interstate 40, take a right off the highway onto Lewisville Clemmons Road and then take a right onto Peace Haven Road. Next, take a Left onto Knob Hill Drive. Continue on Knob Hill Drive until you reach the stop sign at Springfield Farms Road. Turn right onto Springfield Farms Road. Follow Springfield Farms Road to Pebble Run Lane (not at a stop sign). Turn left onto Pebble Run Lane. Follow Pebble Run Lane to the stop sign and take a left onto Holder Road. Last, Take a slight left turn onto the WSM campus.
