Public Service Lawyering
Understanding Your Impact Through Pro Bono Service

The Public Interest Law Society (PILS) invites all students to attend the Florida Bar Government Lawyers Section (GLS): Public Service Lawyering: Understanding Your Impact Through Pro Bono Service. The GLS has recently engaged in a law school outreach initiative to discuss with future lawyers across the state the many benefits of lawyering in public service; including the importance of strategies for developing mentorship relationships early in our career, the value of being active in the Florida Bar, and other voluntary bar associations, among other topics.

PILS and the NSU Law Office of Career Services and Professional Development (OCS) seek to ensure that all students are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, and the empowerment offered by lawyering in the public service sector. Each student provides a meaningful contribution to the legal community. If your dream was to serve and impact your community and the world with positive and needed changes as a future attorney, then public service lawyering is just for you!
