Good evening, San Gabriel

Please join us tomorrow at Smith Park for Public Works Day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. San Gabriel's very own Public Works department will demonstrate equipment and techniques used to maintain City parks, streets, sidewalks, trees, signals, sewers and storm drains!

Now, here's what's making news for May 22, 2019:
City Council approves a new joint-use agreement with
San Gabriel Unified School District
In a 4-0 vote with Mayor Pu absent from the vote, the City Council approved a new joint-use agreement that includes language for both the City and the San Gabriel Unified School District. In April 2017, the City Council approved a facilities joint use agreement with SGUSD with a single agreement that would cover District facilities. This agreement, however, does not cover City facilities. As a result, City staff proposed an amended and restated facilities joint use agreement that includes language for both City and District facilities.

You can read more about this item and others in our wrap-up of the May 21 City Council meeting.

We invite you to Smith Park to get a special behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to maintain San Gabriel's infrastructure.

Now that this event has concluded, we’d like to extend a special thank you to ActiveSGV and Metro and our neighbors at Alhambra and South Pasadena for helping organize this event. Be sure to check out several photos from the event at the link below.
