The Town of West Hartford announced today plans for another public distribution of N95 masks for West Hartford residents on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 1:00-4:00PM, at 100 Mayflower Street. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. We have plenty of masks for everyone. Please stay in your vehicle and follow the signs.

Any resident with a disability who needs a reasonable accommodation to obtain the masks should contact the Town of West Hartford’s Office of Emergency Management at (860) 561-8310 or written requests for a reasonable accommodation may be sent to Robert.McCue@WestHartfordCT.Gov.

N95 particulate respirator masks that the Town of West Hartford received from the State of Connecticut are to be worn with straps that go over the head, not behind the ears. The mask provides a very close facial fit, thereby filtering 95% solid and liquid aerosols. The masks come individually wrapped and are foldable.

NOTE: These masks are not subject to recall. While they share the same lot number, the serial numbers are different from those that were recalled.

The Town had acquired 230,000 adult N95 masks from the State of Connecticut last week and is now making them available to West Hartford residents. N95, KN95 and surgical masks offer greater protection from the highly contagious Omicron virus than cloth face coverings.
