Publishing This Week
Hello,

This week brings 28 new and notable books including novels by Etaf Rum, Zadie Smith, Ann Cleeves and Ragnar Jónasson; plus six debuts, one written by Carissa Orlando which is predicted to send chills down your spine — according to First Impressions reviewer, Ann B, it's "a great horror novel...if you like haunted house stories with generous helpings of dark, twisted humor and emotional resonance, run like you're being chased to The September House."

We also feature Trouble the Living, a novel by Francesca McDonnell Capossela that we'll be discussing in our Book Club later in the fall. Set in modern-day California and 1990s Northern Ireland during the final years of "The Troubles," it's a tale of a mother and daughter who seek the possibility of love and redemption as they face the violence of the past.

We have brief information on 10 books below and more on all titles, including early reviews, in our New This Week section. In the New section, you can also find our Publishing by Month lists, where you can look ahead to see what's publishing soon and back to previous months (with a handy downloadable version for members and staff of libraries that subscribe).

Enjoy!
