The tour meanders through a viewing concourse, offering step by step visualization of receiving, processing, ice cream, culture products, and fluid production, packaging and shipping. A tour guide will provide details on plant history, Publix standards, food quality and safety, sustainability and other interesting facts.
This is a FREE event but a $5 deposit per family is required. If your family shows up for the trip, you may request a refund (within 2 days after the event) from HEAT or donate the $5 to HEAT for coordinating the trip! Space will fill as payment is received. The hope is that this will help with the no-shows that happen frequently with free offerings.
