Our outstanding volunteers, Pam Hill, Lee Willard, and Tom Merlino, were recognized for their valuable contributions to the Habitat Authority on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Our volunteers' time is precious in helping the Authority maintain its trails, host Meetup.com, and process the wildlife camera digital photos. Our recognized volunteers contributed many precious hours to protecting our trails and hillsides this past fiscal year. Click here to learn more.

10,000 Steps Hike

Get in shape with our 10,000 Steps Hike led by our docents Bruce Everett and Ric Opalka every Thursday and Sunday starting October 5, 2023, at 4 p.m. for the month of October. Hacienda Hills Trailhead

This year we conducted extra clearance at the Hacienda Hills Trailhead as a part of the Habitat Authority’s efforts for wildfire prevention. The photos below are before and after images of defensible space clearance conducted this month. This project was funded by the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy Wildfire Grant Prevention Program.
