TOURO LAW SCHOOL SEEKS TRANSPORTATION FOR DISPLACED P UERTO RICAN
LAW SCHOOL STUDENTS

Touro Law School has asked the LaBonte Law Group to reach out to New York dealerships to seek assistance in finding temporary vehicle transportation for nine (9) displaced law students from the University of Puerto Rico Law School.   The University of Puerto Rico School of Law, located in the Rio Piedras neighborhood of San Juan, has been shuttered since Hurricane Maria hit the island on September, 20, 2017.  These nine (9) students are staying at a local Marriott until their classes end on December 15, 2017.

With public transportation on Long Island not being up to par with areas like New York City, Touro Law School is looking for dealers who may be willing to donate vehicles or assist with vehicle rentals for the students during their temporary stay on Long Island.

Touro's efforts to assist these students has already been featured in Newsday and Channel 12 News.  Upcoming features are scheduled for the New York Times and CBS News.  Touro is willing to inform news agencies of any donations and support provided by area dealers.

Anyone interested in assisting these students may contact:
