Rig, Yajur, Sama, and Atharva Veda Yagyas

Includes our Annadanam (food) Yagya
and Daily Mrytunjaya Yagyas through August 12th ($75 total)

Greetings Yagya Friends,

The Vedas are the original source of the knowledge of yagyas, mantras, and how to use them to support and protect all areas of life. Our yagya program will feature the recitation of the complete Rig, Yajur, Sama, and Atharva Veda so that we gain the benefit of every yagya and every mantra contained within.
Rig Veda is the oldest of the Vedas and contains over 10,000 powerful verses and dates back to 1,500 BCE. Yajur Veda dates back to about 1,000 BCE and consists of the procedures and details for most yagyas including two versions of the Soma Yagya, the Agni Hotra, Ashvamedha Yagya, the Sarva Medha Yagya and special yagyas for our ancestors.
Sama Veda is the Veda of devotion. It consists primarily of Rig Veda verses recited in a special melody and rhythm in order to facilitate the expansion of the heart and enliven the presence of the divine within.
Yajur Veda contains Rudram and Chamakam - the special hymns for Shiva, as well as the famous and powerful Mrytunjaya and Gayatri Mantras. There are many yagya rituals in this Veda. This Veda is the specialty of our Kanchipuram priests.

The Atharva Veda is a wonderful source of useful mantras and rituals to protect the health, family, wealth, etc. It is based in part on the Rig Veda and contains many hymns from that text. Historically this is the youngest Veda and probably the most mystical.
The effects of this Vedic recitation yagya are both subtle and profound. They continually increase our ability to realize our goals and aspirations; both spiritual and material.

The Vedic Mantras have a naturally positive influence on our family and on previous generations (Pitr Yagya), our spiritual growth (Soma Yagya), health (Rudram and Mrytunjaya Yagya), and overall success in life (Ashvamedha Yagya).
The yagya will be performed over a 10 day period with vedic recitations following the Rudra Abishekam ritual in both the morning and evening. The combination of all four Vedas is quite rare because it is so difficult to assemble the highly qualified pundits needed for this procedure.
These spiritual texts have been carefully maintained with precision and accuracy by the lineage of Brahmin priests in India. This yagya not only benefits us directly, but is also a way to preserve and protect this profound and invaluable knowledge for all of humanity.
We are offering food to the sanyasi and sadhus in Varanasi, Haridwar, and to Brahmin students in Rameshwaram. These communities have been badly affected by the COVID lockdowns which have made it difficult for them to find food or donations as they usually do. Our gift of food comes at a time when it is especially needed.
As the priests say at the end of every yagya;

"Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu"

May all beings everywhere enjoy peace, happiness
and a life free from suffering
This program of Vedic recitation is supplemented by our Annadanam Food Offering and Daily Mrytunjaya Pujas through mid-August
when our next program begins
