gives you the "Best Bang for your Buck"!
Memberships are still available for 2017 @ $295.00.
Complete an automatic renewal form and never worry about missing your renewal again.
If your Membership has expired (as of March 1st) and you missed your one month grace period to use up your clays, you can still use your clays by converting them to "Non-member clays". The cost is 43 cents per clay. Once you have converted your clays you can use them up at your leisure
OR renew your membership and your clays will simply transfer to your new membership clay card at no cost.
Offering you the best possible customer service is critically important to us here at Silver Willow. To that end, we are moving towards limiting memberships starting as early as this year and a "wait list" will be created once that maximum is reached. Access to Silver Willow will then be limited to members and their guests only. The only exception to this rule will be those who hire a guide or instructor, corporate events who have guides and shooters registered in competitions. Ensuring quality service, booking availability and ultimate safety are among our top reasons for this change.
Starting soon, Non Members wishing to join (not renewing members from 2016) will be required to complete an application for membership.
Join Silver Willow in person next time your out.

Lorne Howes Cancer Shoot - April 1
|
Stu Carter was the HOA winner with a score of 92. He's pictured here with one of our owners, Gwen and Randy Howes (Lorne's brother) |
Every year in April, Silver Willow & Randy Howes co-host the Lorne Howes Cancer Shoot. This fun shoot is in honor of Lorne Howes, who was a life long friend of the Day family. Lorne fought a courageous fight with Leukemia but lost the battle and passed away at the young age of 30. Each year, Lorne's parents join us for the event. It was great turn out and we would like to thank all of our shooters who participated. $25.00 of each registration fee was donated to the Cancer Society in Lorne's name. We also received lots of individual donations from our competitors. After lunch door prizes, which were donated by local businesses, were presented to shooters. It is our local businesses and those who so generously donate that make the Lorne Howes Cancer shoot such a successful and fun event!!
|
Three generations of the Eckstrand family participated in the shoot: Grandfather Rod (left), Son Warren (right) and Grandson Royce (middle)
Warren was also the "Runner Up" to Stu Carter.

Feature Article - Demystifying Shotshells |
To the new shooter, the variety of shotgun ammunition available can be overwhelming. There are so many different brands, and so many different combinations of shot size, payload and velocity that is can be troubling, even for the seasoned shooter.
It is our hope that this segment will demystify the shotgun ammunition selection process.
Shot
The size of the individual shot pellet is described in the form of a number. For target shotshells, the most common pellet sizes are 7-1/2, 8, 8-1/2 and 9. 7-1/2 is the largest of the group, and 9 is the smallest. Shooters must decide whether they want a dense pattern (smaller shot) or more energy per pellet (larger shot). The general rule is that closer targets warrant smaller pellets while longer-range targets require the larger pellets.

The Day and Co. Feature of the Month
|
PILLA PERFORMANCE EYEWARE
Shooting glasses enhance your shooting ability as well as providing
protection from broken clays.
When choosing shooting glasses, opt for yellow or orange lenses to enhance the clay pigeons in low light and to block out glare. Amber lenses are generally good for enhancing your perception, and purple/vermilion increases visibility. The color of the pigeons comes alive with the proper shade of lenses.
We are here at Day and Co to help you with making the right choice for eye wear !!
