THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As the 2022-2023 academic year comes to an end, a new chapter in the Pullman Educational Foundation begins. Our graduating class of 24 Pullman Scholars has achieved a remarkable combined 3.63 GPA and represents a diverse range of majors and career paths. We congratulate the 2023 graduating class on their tremendous achievements, wish them much success in their next journeys, and warmly welcome them as new Pullman Alumni.

Turning the page, the Pullman Educational Foundation community once again grows with the addition of our new, 74th Class of Pullman Scholars. This class is comprised of 25 graduating high school seniors representing 22 high schools across Cook County, and who have all excelled both in and out of the classroom. We look forward to sharing their accomplishments with you along the way as they attend their respective colleges and universities over the next four years.

SCENES FROM THE SYMPOSIUM

Our 2023 Scholar Symposium is a much-anticipated annual event that convenes new and current scholars to learn new skills and exchange ideas that are not necessarily taught in the school classroom. Scholars engage in topics such as perfecting one’s elevator pitch, resume tips, financial literacy, professional etiquette, and more. Most sessions were facilitated by Pullman Alumni with deep expertise and experience on their respective topics. Thank you to our amazing Symposium speakers!

After hosting these learning sessions to help ensure scholar success over their 4-year college journey, the Alumni Reception was an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow Pullman scholars and alumni. Combined with Scholar Success Seminars throughout the year, these learning and networking opportunities are essential for the Pullman Educational Foundation in providing key resources to our scholars beyond their financial awards.
