'Life's too short:' Stroke survivor's daughter marries at Wyoming Medical Center
Two things we specialize in at Wyoming Medical Center: Life-saving stroke care and spontaneous wedding planning. When Maryann Beck-Guith’s father had a stroke on Aug. 6, she and her fiance hopped in a car and raced to Casper.

The couple, from Spokane, Wash, arrived at Wyoming Medical Center with big news: They were getting married. Here. At the hospital. Maryanne wanted her father, James Guith, to walk her down the aisle before he underwent carotid surgery on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

And that’s what they did.

Get vaccinated at these family flu clinics
Vaccination is the most effective way to protect you and your family from catching the flu. But, our late-starting seasons mean you don't want to get yours too early. • Saturday, Sept. 28: 8 a.m. to noon at Mesa Primary Care, 3632 American Way
  • Saturday, Oct. 12: 8 a.m. to noon at Sage Primary Care, 1020 S. Conwell St.

Open to everyone ages 3 and older (talk to your primary care provider about options for vaccinating children younger than 3.) Cost is $30.
