Impact of House Budget Bill

On May 22, the US House of Representatives in an overnight session passed their version of a budget bill. The bill would make deep cuts to Medicaid & SNAP benefits while extending the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The bill now heads to the Senate where some say it faces challenges. We explain.

A new analysis from the Center for American Progress projects uncompensated care costs will surge by $48 billion annually by 2034.
