2020 Book Fair is Coming Soon
Dear Rosa Parks families:

Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will take place the week of Feb. 24th - 28th! This is one of our most popular events of the year, and we need a lot of volunteers to help make it run smoothly. Book Fair will be open before school, during lunch recesses, and after school. We will also be hosting Bingo and Family Reading night on Thursday, February 27th . Please sign up for as many slots as you can to help out. If you have middle school & high school kids that are interested in helping, we can use them as well. Please send this information to any other parents you know that may be interested in helping out!

Please click on the link below to sign up!

Thank you for your help in advance!
Thank you for coming to conferences to see all the great things your child(ren) are doing and learning. If you are appreciative of the work the Rosa Park staff members are doing, there are lots of ways you can let them know. A verbal thank you. A written note. A small gift. If you would like to honor the whole staff: k-pods of coffee, individual tea bags, creamer, a snack, an entrée, etc. are always appreciated.

Valentine's Day Heart Die Cutting

Hello Rosa Parks Volunteers! We are in need of some help with die cutting hearts for our teachers to use for their students before Valentine's Day! Do you have about a half an hour to spare anytime during the school day to help us out?

Math Challenge #8
Math Challenge #8 is now available at  https://www.mathinaction.org/rosa-parks-elementary.html

Complete the challenge and turn in to your teacher by TOMORROW Monday, February 3rd, 3:20pm.  Make sure you show your work!

Interested in working with your PTSA Budget Chairs to develop next school years budget?

Rosa Parks PTSA is looking for interested individuals for developing the 2020-2021 school year budget. If you are interested we would love to hear from you. We will have a form at the front office for those nominating self or others, feel free emailing the PTSA treasurer too at: [email protected]

What you need to know…
·     Budget Committee position is voted in by Board and at the General Membership Level
·     Vote will take place at the March or April’s BOD/Gen. Mtgs.
·     We need…
·     1-2 PTSA Board Members
·     1 PTSA Parent Member
·     1 teacher & Principal OR 2 teachers (k-2nd / 3-5th reps.)
·     Position must be considered in the best interest of school and students rather than best interest of ones child. It must fall in line with Rosa Parks Elementary School vision and goals as well as support our children in an inclusive way.
·     Meeting times will be determined once we field the nominees.
·     We graciously ask that those with small children have child care and not bring children to meetings.
·     It’s not a requirement to have a background in finance or accounting, but worthwhile to supply information if you do.
·     3-6 hours OR 2-3 roundtable meetings before 2020/2021 school year commences.
·     1-2 hours individual work time.

Thank you for the show of interest and support to Rosa Parks Elementary as well as to the PTSA. We all greatly appreciate you and, are looking forward to working as one moving forward.
