Many thanks to all of the generous families who have contributed to our school thus
far! Unfortunately we are far from reaching our goal and want you all to know if we
don’t reach our goal, we will have to cut some of our amazing programs that PTSA
funds.

We really need your help to reach our goal we have until midnight on Tuesday, October   8th . We will certainly accept donations after this date but they will not go towards class or individual prizes.

What will your donations pay for?
Programs that enrich your student's education including Art Smart, Stem Adventures, and Nature Vision. the PTSA covers author visits, as well as both classroom and school enrichment assemblies, as well as our Artist in Residence program. We also financially support student scholarships, give grants to all teachers for classroom enrichment, E-prep, 2 way radios for school safety, funding of the new sound system in the commons, 5th grade outdoor experience, and many other much needed expenses through the school year.

The PTSA relies on your generosity to maintain the level of excellence all Rosa Parks students enjoy and we truly appreciate any amount you can give. Donations are easy to make and qualify for company matching - simply go to www.orangeruler.com/signup to start the process. Please send any questions to [email protected].

Family Library Night- October 10th
Hello Rosa Parks families! I want to welcome you all to attend our monthly Rosa Parks Family Library Nights. Every month, on the first Thursday, we invite families to come to the library. We start at 5:30 and are done by 7:00. THIS MONTH WILL HAPPEN ON THE SECOND THURSDAY. (My wife won Seahawks game tickets)

Our library students really appreciate the chance to come to the library with their parents. We always start out with a read aloud book, often read with lots of student interaction. Parents, be ready to be involved! Next we discuss what is new and exciting in the library and our culture of enthusiastic readers. Then the students especially like the fact that they get to check out bonus books in addition to the ones checked out in class.

We especially look forward to kindergarten families. This event gives kindergarteners a chance to roam around and get to know the library. They get to choose great non-fiction books or chapter books for read-alouds with their families.

It would be great if you can join us!!

Mr. Anderson 😊
