MNC hosted a Teacher Career Pathway Orientation to support our Early Care and Education families on their journey toward self-sufficiency and professional growth. Participants learned about pathways to become an Early Education teacher, how to complete a GED, register for ESL classes, validate credentials from other countries, and access job readiness/placement resources. Families were highly engaged, asked thoughtful questions and connected with one another and with our community partners.
Parents also shared inspiring success stories:
One mother celebrated earning her teaching permit, saying, “I have three children and many responsibilities, but anything is possible when you are determined.”
Another shared how she validated her teaching credentials and teaches for San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), offering to mentor others pursuing the same goal.
Diana Benites-Rodriguez, Family Services Manager, is taking the lead in partnering with Family Service Specialists to strengthen their knowledge of resources and to help bridge families to essential services—ultimately reducing systemic barriers and improving access to opportunities.
Huge appreciation to our devoted Campus Family Services Specialists who go above and beyond. We thank our amazing partners—Sergio Rodríguez (Excelsior Works), Patrick Romero, (MNC Education Coach), Héctor Amaya and Bahar Ataii (MNC GED and Mentorship Program), and St. Peter’s School for their collaboration and support.
By becoming role models for their children, parents are not only shaping their own futures but also inspiring the next generation to dream big and succeed.
