Pumpkin Pie Spice Bitters
We love warming spices, and late fall is the perfect time to combine them with bountiful pumpkins from our local farms. We hope you enjoy this simple, delicious bitters recipe!

  • 20 grams Gentian root
  • 15 grams cinnamon
  • 10 grams ginger root
  • 10 grams nutmeg
  • 10 grams angelica root
  • 5 grams allspice
  • 5 grams cloves
  • 400 ml dark rum
  • 30 grams pumpkin puree
  • Maple Syrup to taste


Measure herbs into a 16 ounce jar, pour rum over them, and screw on lid. Shake well. Shake every day for one week, then strain. Add pumpkin puree, let sit overnight. Strain very well, then add maple syrup to taste. Let stand one week before use. Add to coffee, hot chocolate, great with old fashions.
