10:30am: Common Art Show & Sale
*Drivers still very much needed. See below.*
Artists from Common Art (part of Common Cathedral) will be joining us for worship followed by an art show and sale in our Parish Hall! Please bring cash for your purchases!
Common Art provides space, materials and support to unhoused and low income individuals as they develop their artistic abilities. People who live in shelters, rooming houses, on unclaimed couches and on Boston's streets, gather every Wednesday at Emmanuel Church to draw, paint, sculpt, make jewelry and share their gifts with other artists in a safe and supportive community.
We still need volunteers to transport the artists, volunteers, and staff (about 18 people) to and from the Walpole train station. Please sign up below.

| | Plenty Good Room: Stewardship 2027 | | |
Last Sunday we launched our Stewardship Season. Stewardship is our faithful reply to God’s generosity. Stewards are protectors, benefactors, caretakers, teachers. Families and Individuals make pledges of time, resources, and talent in thanksgiving for our beautiful community at Advent. This year’s theme, Plenty Good Room, is a call back to a beautiful, mesmerizing and historical spiritual of the same name. Originating from the slavery era southern Black church communities, the refrain beckons us:
Plenty good room, plenty good room,
plenty good room in my Father's kingdom,
Plenty good room, plenty good room,
just choose your seat and sit down.
That sounds like an invitation to talk – with each other and God. In other words - all are welcome and together we have enough – take a load off. Time and again Advent, though a small church, has shown that “enough” can grow love, welcome, belonging, joy, and compassion to new heights.

This week's Stewardship Reflection
PLENTY GOOD WELCOME
Plenty Good Room means radical welcome. This week, we give thanks for the hospitality of this parish and the ways we extend God’s welcome to others. Through the generosity of our hearts and the sharing of God’s abundant gifts, we ensure that there is Plenty Good Room in God’s Kingdom for all.
Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
Matthew 25:34-35

Chris spoke fondly of his time at Advent and growing up in the rectory. The stained glass windows in the narthex are in memory of the Rev. David Flanders.
