Extra Kennel Keys

The extra kennel keys are now hanging outside the program's office for volunteer use. Please return them when you are done for the day.

CAVIT Timesheets

The binder of CAVIT timesheets can be found in the office modular located behind C building. The binder is next to the large printer.

Sallyport

At this time, please avoid going in the sallyport. Until further notice there is no access to water in the sallyport.

Volunteer Shoutout

Huge shout out to volunteers, Claudia, Jill, Frank, who ran the offsite event in Maricopa! It was a successful event and all dogs left! Jill and Frank did adopt one of the attendees, so congrats to Jill and Frank on their new furbaby!

Also shout out to Jennifier, who completed her red lock training recently, so she can now work with some of our most vulnerable dogs and help enrich their shelter experiences!

Thank you to EVERYONE that has been working with our more timid and fearful dogs. But I have to specifcally mention Claudia who has been working with Raya & Hazel, and Max for spending time with our real life room dogs. Both Hazel and Raya are now in foster!

I’m happy to see that our cat volunteer team has grown by THREE! So the cats can get some more attention and one on one time!

Lastly the shelter has been BUZZING with CAVIT students today, so thank you to all the students that have been spending time with the animals.

If I could name off every single one of you, I would, but I’ll spare you the time. We could never say thank you enough! Thank you all again! And if anyone is looking to expand their volunteer journeys in adoptions, red lock handling, fearful dog handling, kitties, or anything
