Puppy Roan Will Steal Your Heart! 💓

Hello Friend,

Hang on to your heart! This one is surely going to steal it! Roan came to us along with an additional 30 dogs and puppies from an extremely remote community in northern Manitoba. In fact, this community is mainly accessible by train during the harsh winter months, which means access to basic essentials such as pet food, let alone veterinary care is slim to none. 💔

One of these sweet souls is an 8-week-old puppy that has presented with an undetermined neurological disorder which has caused her to be abnormally unbalanced. Little Roan has been assessed by our veterinarians and has undergone diagnostics in efforts to pin-point her condition, however, her neurological panel came back negative leading us to believe she has Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Although we are still in the assessment stage, we are monitoring her quality of life, ability to function and overall wellness. Roan exhibits head bobble, tremors, wide stance/gait but she is also happy, playful and full of love.

In the meantime, we've ordered her some anti-slip traction pads for her paws to see if that helps her stay steady. She is a happy go lucky puppy otherwise! It’s only been a few days, but we're feeling optimistic for the little bean! 💓
