How do I get started?

It's easy! Simply Follow This Link. Your kit will ship the
following business day. Please know that although you will be in
business for yourself, you will never be by yourself. As your
sponsor, it's my goal to help train you, serve as a sounding board,
and provide ongoing support.

How much does it cost to get started?
A.
Usually $250 - $1,000 for your starter kit. All consultants
purchase a starter kit and sign a consultant agreement. The starter
kit will provide you with products and paperwork to do your first
party (or couple parties...depending on which kit you select). NOTE
- kits start at $159 this month!
Q.
What kind of training and support will I receive?
A.
Tons! Pure Romance offers an online training center, training
calls, and corporate events. Additionally, as a member of my team,
you'll have access to shadow successful consultants, team meetings,
team conference calls, our team website, and more!
Q.
How do I earn money as a consultant?
A.
There are multiple ways to earn income as a Pure Romance
consultant. Let's quickly review them:
1. Buy products at a discount and
sell them at a markup New
consultants start at a either a 35% or 50% discount (depends on
which kit is purchased), and can eventually move up to as high as
a 60% Buying Discount. We do not sell our products in stores, so
the vehicle for selling is through in-home parties. Women invite
you into their homes to entertain their friends by demonstrating
our sophisticated line of beauty enhancements, lotions, lubricants,
massage aids, and bedroom accessories.
2.
Direct customers to your website. When
customers visit your website and place orders, Pure Romance
processes the orders for you and gives you credit to use toward
future orders.
3. Build a successful team of consultants. Recruiting
is always a choice - never required. However, when you invite other
women to join the business and help train them to be successful,
Pure Romance rewards you with a higher buying discount and monthly
override bonuses.
Q. How much do you make?
A.
On average, I earn about $400 in profit for each party I do. Not
bad for under 4 hours of work. Of course this is different for
everyone. Consultants who have earned a larger buying discount will
earn more, and those just starting out may earn less.
Q. What type of women sell Pure
Romance?
A.
All kinds of women! Discard any pre-conceived notions you may have
about the type of women who do romance parties. We have 18 year old
single girls and 63 year old grandmothers, high school dropouts and
attorneys, women who have struggled financially and those who were
financially set long before they decided to become consultants.
Each woman has her own unique story as to why she decided to
join.
Q. I could never get up in front of strangers and talk about sex
- how do you do it?
A.
If you told me ten years ago I would be doing this, I never would
have believed you! I had no idea what I had got myself into when I
attended my first party of this nature. I had a ton of fun and
learned more than I thought possible. Yes, I was nervous at first
when I started. However, the training and support offered is
phenomenal, and once you get through the first show jitters, it's a
piece of cake!
Q. What if I just don't like
it?
A.
Then quit - no hard feelings. When you start I'll work with you on
a plan to do a handful of shows to try it out. If at that point,
you decide it's not for you, you should have your kit paid for and
money in your pocket. BUT, I think you might decide that you love
it and want more and more parties, they become
addictive!
Q. What are the monthly quotas
& recruiting requirements?
A.
They are minimal. Once you become "active" which means you've sold
$250 in retail products within 60 days of signing up, you just need
to place a $100 retail order every three months to stay
active. There are no recruiting requirements, but there are rewards
for building a successful team.
Q. Will I have a
website?
A.
Yes! Pure Romance provides all consultants with a FREE personal
website. Orders placed through your website are processed and
shipped by the corporate office and you receive up to a 50%
commission (in 2011, 40% in 2010). Direct people to your website
and reap rewards for doing nothing at all!
Q. How do I book
parties?
A.
There are a lot of ways to get parties when you're first starting
out. Most of your bookings will come from your parties. The first,
thing you'll want to do is host your own "launch party" where you
will invite all the women you know to help you launch your
business! There are also great documents with 100 booking ideas on
our team website. Many of my parties come from referrals and
handing out my business cards anytime I am out of my
home.
Q. Why Pure Romance vs. other
"Romance" companies?
A.
We're a class act. We give back to the community. Not only are our
parties tasteful and educational, Pure Romance is affiliated with a
number of academic institutions (Sex Education week at Yale and
the Kinsey Institute!), and philanthropic organizations (we have a
program specifically designed to help women who have undergone
cancer treatment to recapture their sensuous selves). We've been
featured in tons of publications (Women's Health, Forbes,
Entrepreneur) and on television programs like "the
View."
Q. I have children at home. How
does that work?
A.
Many successful consultants have young families. By taking a few
precautionary measures (such as establishing a locked "Pure
Romance" closet) you can successfully run your business while
establishing boundaries with your children. I'm happy to
share some creative ways that have helped other moms thrive in this
business.
Q. What is the role of
a "Sponsor"?
A.
A sponsor's role is to help mentor you in the business. When you
are first getting started you will have TONS of questions! It's
your sponsor's role to help you navigate through your first few
parties and provide ongoing support as you grow your business.
Having a sponsor is not required. However, you don't gain anything
by not having one (and potentially lose out on a valuable
resource!). You only get to sign up once, so seek out a sponsor
who you trust, respect, and will be available to you.
