Parent/Teacher Conferences Are Next Week
We are excited to host Winter/Spring conferences this year! Conferences will take place next week on Wednesday, February 10th from 4:00-8:00pm and Thursday, February 11th 8:00am-4:00pm (no school for students on February 11th). This is an awesome opportunity for families and staff to connect in the second half of the school year. In order to meet the needs of all of our students, we are prioritizing the scheduling of conferences with students who struggled to access learning semester 1. Staff will be reaching out to schedule these priority conferences. All families may connect with teachers directly to schedule time to discuss their student’s progress at any time.

Student's schedules and teacher contact information are available on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal online and can be accessed on a mobile device with the "Campus Parent" app (instructions).

Additionally, during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, February 10th at 6:00pm and at 7:00pm East is hosting half hour informational sessions on Advanced Placement Courses. The sessions will review the benefits of taking AP classes, the course options, and stories from students and teachers about what it is like to take an AP class.

All students and families are encouraged to attend one of the sessions. Please also feel free to contact your School Counselor, mentor, or other East staff members to discuss AP course options or watch these videos from teachers about AP courses.

Senior Information About Graduation Products
As we continue to navigate through this pandemic, we wanted to share with you that MMSD has not made a decision yet regarding our high school graduation ceremonies in June. The district is exploring multiple options, both in-person and virtual, so that we can be prepared to honor our graduating seniors in the safest way possible. It is our hope that we can have that decision made soon, and we will share that with you as soon as we are able.

Midwest Scholastic has opened the ordering window for caps, gowns, tassels, stoles, and other graduation supplies through February 26th.

We know that this pandemic has created significant financial hardships for some of our students and their families. That is why, for this year’s graduating class, MMSD will cover the cost of cap/gown/tassel/stoles for graduating seniors. If you would like to contribute to East's graduation fund to help cover the cost, please complete this form.

Instructions on ordering graduation products including your FREE cap/gown/tassel/stole are on our Senior Information website.

All questions regarding cap/gown/tassel/stoles and other graduation products should go directly to Midwest Scholastic at questions@mwscholastic.com.
