FRIDAY THE 13TH + SUPER MOON
We'll drink to that. Its an odd combination that won't happen again until 2049.. another good reason to stay up late with friends and a great beverage. This weekend's weather is looking like summer, the Vikes won last weekend, and the Twins are playing well - it's almost too good to be true.
The Vikings play the Packers on Sunday - if you aren't drinking
Tattersall's Purple Reign, are you even a Vikings fan? We've got limited stock - when its gone, its gone!

2015 J. Wilkes, Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley CA
$27.99
J. Wilkes winemaker Wes Hagen has created a complex Pinot Noir typical of the cool climate in the Santa Maria Valley. Strong Pacific winds, fog, and sun-kissed slopes of the 'Tepusquet Bench' combine to produce wines of verve and elegance.
Aromas of red raspberry, pomegranate, mocha, herbs, and plum skins slide into a rich palate of sour plum, rhubarb, and earthy fruit.
Well worth contemplation over an earthy mushroom pasta entree!

2016 Raw Power Shiraz
South Australia
$16.99
I realize Summer isn't quite gone yet but a hint of cool air has got me thinking about rich silky reds to sink into. Raw Power Shiraz certainly delivers silky, bombastic fruit but it's no gimmick wine. This Shiraz is expertly made , comes from a well tended single vineyard and is matured in stainless steel and seasoned oak. The result is clean and juicy Shiraz that satisfies but doesn't overwhelm. The overall effect is a lot of quality and value.

2017 Zuccardi Q Malbec Valle de Uco
$21.99
Once upon a time, I lived in Buenos Aires. While there I drank my share of Malbec, listened to plenty of Tango and most importantly, met my wife. The wines of Argentina hold a very special place for me and this cuvee from the "darling of Mendoza" delivers exactly what I look for in a Malbec without being overly extracted or sweet. This is elegant, powerful, velvety juice and would go perfectly with that sweater you've been waiting to wear again.

2015 Domaine Sainte-Anne
Cotes-du-Rhone Villages
$17.99
The Steinmaier family's roots lie in Burgundy, having relocated to the small village of Saint Gervais in the Southern Rhone Valley in the 1960s. This is a true family operation - the two sons now make wines from 30 hectares of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre. This is classic Rhone- spiced fruit, earth, and garrigue. This goes into my "burger wine" category - a delicious, comforting fall red.

2018 Ameztoi
Txakolina
$22.99
Its looking like summer this weekend.. perfect Txakolina weather. These crisp white wines from the Basque Country in Northern Spain are made for drinking, not thinking. Ameztoi has always been a long standing fav here at the shop - crisp orchard fruit, the slightest spritz, and a ton of personality for being such a chuggable wine. Pair with fresh caught lake fish, oysters - really anything that comes out of the water.

Barn Cat - Belgian IPA
Lakes and Legends
$11.49 (6pk cans)
If you're burned out from heavy, tongue-busting IPAs like me, it's hard to find a beer that will give you the hops you desire without leaving your tongue drier than the Sahara. Fortunately, Lakes & Legends has provided an oasis. This Belgian IPA delivers those malty biscuit notes we know and love from Belgian ales whilst supplying just enough hops to whet the palette.
