Letter from the President by Charli Thyne

Dear Patriots:

It’s such a joy to watch the Democrats struggle to find their way in the Golden Age. President Trump is a master at ensuring that they are stuck defending the policies that only 20% of the population supports. DEI? Child mutilation? Allowing Tren de Aragua to stay in the US? Don’t want to cut abuse, fraud and waste out of our government?

Maybe that’s why the Left is reduced to potty-mouth talk. It’s apparent they have all been told to behave this way, as if it makes them more relevant to a younger crowd. For me (and I believe most Americans), it is very off putting. They use foul language for attention and because they’re so frustrated – but it will never substitute for a good argument, and the American people see through it, finally.

Another concern I have is the activist judges who are attempting to thwart President Trump’s agenda. The actions of district judges to stop the President’s administration from following through on its promises are very dangerous for our country. Congress and/or the Supreme Court need to step in and stop this judicial overreach.

On a positive note, our recent County Convention was amazing! Everything was done with unity and decorum. We had interesting speeches filled with optimism for our party and our future. The new slate of County GOP officers was elected unanimously (see below).

I want to thank each and every volunteer striving to keep Moore County Great! We are blessed with so many gifted and enthusiastic friends who give of their time, talent and treasure to ensure our success in electing conservative candidates.

God bless you and God bless Moore County!

Charli

St. Patrick's Day Bingo a resounding success

More than 120 people turned out for this inaugural fundraiser for Moore Republican Women. Food, fun and prizes galore - and many people really got into the Irish spirit!

Speakers at our March luncheon

Our guest speakers were Emily Stack and Bill Britton, high-ranking officers in the North Carolina Federation of Young Republicans.

They spoke about what actions their organization (one of the top ones in the country) took that had a major impact on the 2024 election, as well as provided insights into why the youth vote turned toward Donald Trump in massive numbers (hint: The economy was a huge factor).

Ways & Means

We always get great support from luncheon attendees of our fundraising efforts. Here are the results for the March luncheon:

  • Split the Pot - $200. $100 won by Jane Waldemar. Thank you, Jeanne Harrington, for selling the tickets.
  • Basket Raffle - $170. Basket won by Kathy Beddow. Thank you, Betsy Miller, for selling the raffle tickets, and you, Pauline Bruno, for creating the basket.
  • Jewelry Sales - $104. Thanks to all who bought some of our right wing bling

Can anyone donate...a folding table?

Moore Republican Women often hosts events that require 6-foot tables to be set up, and we find we need more! If you happen to have a 6-foot folding table you're no longer using, please donate it to us! Just contact Pauline Bruno.

Thank you!

Spring Adopt-A-Road Cleanup

Afterward, many had lunch at Jersey Mike's to support their charity fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club in Moore County.
