Research, Resources, and Updates
New York City Anti-Violence Project recently released the 2016 edition of this annual report. The report analyzes the experiences of 1,036 survivors of hate violence that reported to 12 NCAVP member programs in 2016.
The Astraea Foundation's Acey Award recognizes lesbian and trans women of color over the age of 62 who have made under-recognized contributions to our movements and often have unmet financial needs as they age. The Award was created in honor of Astraea's Executive Director Emerita Katherine Acey.
The Arcus Foundation announced the selection of 12 executive directors to participate in the Arcus Leadership Fellowship, an 18-month-long program established to support early-stage executive directors of LGBT and allied nonprofit organizations based in the United States.

The LGBTQ Community Endowment Fund is a component fund of the Community Foundation of Utah and aims to strengthen Utah's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community by awarding grants for programs that enhance the lives of LGBTQ people in Utah. Grants are available for nonprofit organizations that support Utah's LGBTQ community. Applications are due by

The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy seeks nominations for its 2017 NCRP Impact Awards. The annual awards recognize U.S.-based private foundations, family foundations, community foundations, corporate foundations and other grantmaking charities of all shapes and sizes that exemplified high-impact, social justice domestic giving. The Third Wave Fund recently announced the Own Our Power Fund, a new fund offering capacity-building grants for grassroots organizations to own their own work. The Own Our Power Fund will make one and two-year capacity-building grants of up to $25,000 for projects that seek to increase the agency communities have over their organizations by supporting leadership, sustainability and self-representation. - Google Awards $1 Million for Stonewall History Project
Google awarded $1 million to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center in New York City to preserve oral histories of people who participated in the 1969 Stonewall uprising and create a curriculum about the event with the National Park Foundation.
