GUTC Pledge Now Accepting PSO Signatories!

Funders for LGBTQ Issues’ Grantmakers United for Trans Communities (GUTC) program is excited to announce Funders' Committee for Civic Participation (FCCP) as the first PSO signatory of the GUTC Pledge! FCCP joins 53 foundation partners who have signed on to Funders’ pledge campaign to transform the culture of philanthropy and improve the wellbeing of transgender communities. Historically, GUTC pledge signatories have committed to do four things— participate in trainings on supporting trans communities; improve their recruitment and retention of trans and gender nonconforming employees; increase their grantmaking for trans communities and trans-led orgs; and publicly express support and solidarity with trans communities.

In order to accommodate PSO signatories, Funders has now adapted the grantmaking requirement of the Pledge to be inclusive of PSOs, who may not be able to directly increase grantmaking but can advocate within their networks and otherwise leverage increased resources for trans communities. If your PSO is interested in signing on to the GUTC pledge please email Luna Moreta Avila, GUTC Program Director
