Late last year the Out in the South Fund awarded a total of $400,000 to 11 groups to catalyze locally-driven Southern funds that address the needs and strengthen the assets of LGBTQ communities in the South. Click here to see 2019 grantees.

In December, Funders for LGBTQ Issues staff came together for our annual Winter Staff retreat. The retreat was filled with celebrations, fun, food, and productive trainings.
Transgender equity consultants , Cyd Nova and Cecilia Gentili joined us at our 2019 Winter staff retreat for an interactive training to help us e stablish genuine equity at Funders for LGBTQ Issues.

5 Things You Should Know About The Williams Institute Report on Poverty in the LGBTQ+ Community.

According to a new analysis by The Williams Institute of UCLA School of Law, over 150,000 transgender adults are enrolled in Medicaid in the U.S.

This report examines revenue and expenses, and other indicators of financial health for LGBTQI social justice organizations.
