Q2 - Missouri Area Board Update

We Love Our Volunteers!

I want to show a heartfelt gratitude towards each of our Missouri Area Board Members who help the American Cancer Society Missouri Area make a greater impact on the lives of cancer patients!

From providing a free home away from home at the World Wide Technology American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, providing free transportation to an oncology appointment, to funding breakthrough cancer research at institutions across the State of Missouri; without you, we couldn't be accomplishing anything!

This is one of my favorite quotes by Elizabeth Andrew - "Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, but they have the heart". Thank you for having the heart to help our mission!

On behalf of all of us here at the American Cancer Society in Missouri - THANK YOU!

Jason

Cancer Screening Recommendations By Age

Did you know that cancer screening guidelines are updated based on new research and changes we see in cancer statistics? For example, because studies found more people under the age of 50 were developing colorectal cancer, the recommended age to begin regular screening for people at average risk is now 45.

Because we know that 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and that early detection saves lives, this could be the most important thing you do today!
