ELISABETH MUNFORD

What is your current role with Jenkins?

a. Software Application Administrator

Tell us a bit about your family and background.

a. I am one of 6 siblings. My parents taught me about God and Jesus, but my mother didn't believe in 'organized religion' so I didn't desire a personal relationship with the church until my early 30s. I have 3 sons who are all adults now (28, 30, and 31). They are my greatest encouragers. We have developed sweet friendships as they have entered adulthood and I am grateful that when they ask me for advice, the guidance I am able to offer is based not only on my love for them, but also my relationship with Jesus.

What is something not many people know about you?

a. My father brought my family to live in the UK in the 80s after my tenth grade year in high school. It was supposed to be for only 2 years, but I ended up staying 6 and a half. I went to school for three of those years and was a nanny in London for the rest of my time there. Fashion and music of the UK 80s is still my favorite!

Why did you want to be part of the Employee Ownership Committee?

a. To learn more about Jenkins and how Employee Ownership 'fit in'. I wanted to also encourage others to see the benefits of working for this company, ultimately wanting to see loyalty and teamwork amongst all members of the Jenkins team.

What do you like the most about working at Jenkins?

a. I like that we don't just 'show up', but that we share much of our personal lives so that Jenkins doesn't feel like work so much. It's a bonus when one gets to spend workdays with 'extended family'.

TRAVIS QUAMME

What is your current role with Jenkins?

a. Fleet Manager and "Other Duties as Assigned"

Tell us a bit about your family and background.

a. I grew up in Wisconsin and consider the Midwest home. After high school, I lived in New Mexico for nearly 20 years before joining Jenkins in 2016. I've got 3 brothers, and a pretty rad dog.

What is something not many people know about you?

a. I built my own tear drop trailer and I did a really good job on it. Like seriously, it's really nice.

Why did you want to be part of the Employee Ownership Committee?

a. To me, the idea of employee ownership is an exciting and unique opportunity. I wanted to know and understand how it impacts us and ultimately communicate that to my fellow coworkers. It's my belief that the better we all understand Employee Ownership the more "bought in" we will all be, working towards a common goal.

What do you like the most about working at Jenkins?

a. The people. Having worked for other companies, Jenkins is really packed with some awesome folks. I feel the culture throughout all levels of the organization really embraces our values (C-E-D-A-R). I know we have our moments, but it's a pretty cool thing we have going here. Proud to be a part of it.

Why choose employee ownership?

If you ask your fellow co-workers why they believe in employee ownership, you'd probably hear a variety of answers. Some reasons may include wealth, culture, or collaboration. For me, the ability to see your personal impact and be rewarded is priceless.

So why do we choose employee ownership? I believe we choose employee ownership when we see the long term value not only with the financial benefits we open ourselves up to, but also the value we see in a company that chooses to offer employee ownership to its people.
