Now in it's third year, the weeklong campaign is a fun, immersive way to introduce parents to the physical education program at their child’s school. In the Spotlight
Kasia Givenrod is an Adapted Physical Education Specialist in Brea Olinda Unified School District in Brea, California. Kasia has been teaching for 12 years. She spent her first 6 years teaching general physical education and the last 6 years as an Adapted Physical Education Specialist for her district. Kasia teaches Unified PE which is an inclusive program where students of all abilities participate in the physical education class together. She is also a coach for the Unified Sports program. We interviewed Kasia and asked about her professional career, teaching experiences, teaching strategies, inclusion and much more.
