Bus Drivers Needed
A shortage of school bus drivers persists across the nation and the impact is felt here at Quaker Valley as well. We continue to be in need of qualified drivers to fill routes for the 2022-2023 school year. Quaker Valley School District contracts with Monark Student Transportation Corporation to provide rides to and from school for QV students. Monark offers free training, competitive wages and benefits, and flexible schedules. To apply visit www.monarktrans.com Please share this job opportunity with all family and friends.
School Board Meeting Tuesday
All work sessions and legislative meetings of the Quaker Valley Board of School Directors are scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM and are returning to the Edgeworth Elementary School Large Group Instruction Room.

A one-way Zoom audio feed will be provided as a courtesy for community members who wish to listen to the meetings. Click here to register for the Zoom webinar link.

If you would like to address the Board, you may do so by registering in advance with the Board Secretary, Christina DeAngelis, who can be reached at deangelisc@qvsd.org.
School Lunches
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is no longer funding free lunches for all students in the 2022-2023 school year. Families are strongly encouraged to apply for the National School Lunch Program, as they may qualify for free or reduced costs for meals, as well as reduced college applications, testing fees, and more.

Visit www.schoolcafe.com to create an account and complete the application. Families will enter their student(s) lunch PIN as the student ID.

Meal costs will return to their previous prices. Breakfast is $1.50, and lunch is $3.05 for a standard meal for all grades and at the secondary level, $3.75 for a premium meal.

Dr. Robert Edwards - Art Lessons
For thirteen years, Dr. Edwards was the Visual Arts teacher for both the Middle and Senior Schools of Sewickley Academy, and since 2016 he has continued to teach privately in his personal studio in Bell Acres. Many of his past students have been both Congressional and Scholastic Art Award winners, have exhibited their artworks publicly in local art galleries, and have been accepted to many of the nation’s prestigious art and design programs.

Dr. Robert Edwards now offers private drawing and painting lessons for those students and adults who are interested in attending late afternoon and weekend atelier classes. These classes aim to introduce interested students to the methodology and techniques of classical, representational drawing and painting, as practiced historically by the Renaissance and Modern Masters. For further information please contact Dr. Edwards at 412-749-9427, email robert.monroe.edwards@gmail.com, or see examples of his work on drawnandquartered.com.
