Cafeteria Workers Needed
Help us serve our students! We have multiple cafeteria positions open. These positions are employed by Quaker Valley and are part-time, on-site positions on all student days during the school year. Schedules are flexible and pay ranges from $14.23 - $15.94/hour.
Bus Drivers Needed (Training Provided)
We are in need of drivers for the 2022-2023 school year. Drivers are employed by Monark Student Transportation Corporation which provides training, competitive wages, benefits, bonuses, and flexible schedules.

Join us virtually as the QVHS Office of Collegiate Affairs hosts William Lindsey and Kurt Deutsch of PHEAA on Monday, September 26 at 6:30 PM for our annual Financial Aid Night.
The PHEAA Reps will present the ins and outs of the financial aid process, which begins for the Class of 2023 on October 1st.
This session will be recorded and shared after the event.

High school is an ideal time for students to consider their possible future selves. Now is the time for students to get involved in experiences that will build their skills and their resumes. Adult passes are $50 and student passes are $25. Make checks payable to QVSD. Passes are not valid at QVHS away games or any home or away playoff/championship game.

QV Odyssey of the Mind Virtual Parent Information Meeting - September 20, 2022 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Odyssey of the Mind (OM) is a creative problem-solving competition where teams of five to seven students work on a long-term problem. The competition is open to students in all grades. It's a program that encourages creative thinking, team-building, and problem-solving. This virtual session will provide detailed information about the program and will help you connect with others who are interested in forming a team. Please see flyer for registration details.

Backyard Flag Football
Backyard Flag Football is a non-profit Coed Youth Flag Football League that hosts 2 seasons of flag football each year. Our goal at Backyard Flag Football is to give every child an opportunity to develop, learn the rules and be a participant. We promote team play, good sportsmanship and respect towards teammates, coaches, officials, parents and teachers.
We are gearing up for our Fall/Winter 2022 season and would like to give every child in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas an opportunity to participate in the Backyard Flag Football league. Cub Scout Sign-Up Night
Hiking, camping, Pinewood Derby...if your 1st- through 5th-grade boy wants to join us in these and other adventures, stop by Cub Scout Pack 243 sign-up night on Tuesday, September 20th!
We'll be in the basement of Sewickley Presbyterian Church (414 Grant St) from 6:30-8:30pm; drop by any time to meet other Scouts and leaders, learn more about what we have planned for this year, and sign up for adventure! Fees for new Scouts are $184 (for returning Scouts, $128), payable in cash or check. We typically meet twice a month (on Tuesdays at 6:30pm), starting September 27. Moving 4th Into Engineering - Saturdays between Sept. 24-Oct. 15 (10:00-11:30 AM)
Carnegie Mellon University is offering a free virtual program for fourth grade students called Moving 4th Into Engineering, designed to get students excited about engineering concepts. Students will work virtually with undergraduate students from CMU's College of Engineering, learning about the variety of engineering principles involved in creating Rube Goldberg machines. Students will construct these machines using a variety of household items as well as supplies provided in mailed kits. Quaker Valley Fire Safety Fair
The Quaker Valley fire departments are working together to host the first ever Quaker Valley Fire Safety Fair on Saturday, October 15th from 10am- 2pm on Broad St in Sewickley (between Beaver and Thorn). There will be fire trucks, emergency vehicles, kids activities, fire prevention education, food trucks, and more. This is a free event for the whole family!

QVHS CLASS OF ‘72 GOLF OUTING
On Monday, September 26th, join members of the QVHS class of 1972 in a shotgun-style golf outing at the Sewickley Heights Golf Club - complete with a BBQ lunch. The cost is $195 and includes carts, food, and golf.
Register your foursome, or by yourself. Contributions and donations will go towards a scholarship fund (no participation is necessary to donate) that benefits a QV Music student in memory of classmate Susan Harger-Hartford.
