Blueprint QV Update

At the March 14 school board meeting, the architects from BSHM and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson provided a presentation about the proposed exterior finished for the new Quaker Valley High School. In the coming weeks, we will spotlight specific features shared in that presentation and others from the past few months.

The new high school will have two designated entrances for students each morning. The main entry point (shown on the left) will be utilized by those who are dropped off by parents or other adults or who drive themselves to school, and north facade entry (shown on the right) that will be used by those who ride the bus.

The main entrance will also be utilized by visitors who come to the school throughout the day, as it provides a secure entry point to the high school's main office and will have visitor parking available within close proximity.

The entrance at the north facade includes a designated bus lane and allows the buses to pull off the main driveway to alleviate traffic congestion. This traffic pattern also provides additional safety, as it ensures that students will not have to cross traffic to enter the building.

QV Celebrates Music In Our Schools Month

For more than 30 years, March has been officially designated by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) for the observance of Music In Our Schools Month® (MIOSM®), the time of year when music education becomes the focus of schools across the nation.
