QVMS Presents "FROZEN Jr." | |

Disney’s Frozen Jr. is coming to Quaker Valley Middle School! Join us for this classic Disney story of two princesses, and all of your favorite characters as they embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the real meaning of true love.
Frozen Jr. will be held in the Quaker Valley Middle School Auditorium on Friday, November 11 at 7pm; Saturday, November 12 at 7pm; Sunday, November 13 at 1pm (with a separately-ticketed character breakfast held beforehand); Thursday, November 17 at 7pm; and Friday, November 18 at 7pm.

A separate, hard-ticketed character breakfast is also available prior to the Sunday matinee. Breakfast will take place in the QVMS Cafeteria at 11am. Start your morning with a photo opportunity with Elsa and Anna. Then, meet the Olaf, Sven, and all of your favorite Frozen characters as they greet and serve a breakfast that includes snowflake waffles, sausage, mini-omelettes, fruit, and beverages. During it all, you can sing along to your favorite songs from Frozen with our cast.
Tickets go on sale at the Quaker Valley Middle School Main Office during normal school hours starting on Wednesday, October 26. The cost for the breakfast is $12 per child and $15 per adult.
Only 130 tickets are available for the breakfast. Anyone attending the breakfast who also has tickets to the performance will be welcome into the auditorium upon arrival at the school so that they may reserve seats.

Cafeteria Workers Needed
Help us serve our students! We have multiple cafeteria positions open. These positions are employed by Quaker Valley and are part-time, on-site positions on all student days during the school year. Schedules are flexible and pay ranges from $14.23 - $15.94/hour.
Bus Drivers Needed (Training Provided)
We are in need of drivers for the 2022-2023 school year. Drivers are employed by Monark Student Transportation Corporation which provides training, competitive wages, benefits, bonuses, and flexible schedules.

Athletic Passes Available:
2022-2023 Athletic Event Passes now available for sale! To purchase, contact the QVHS athletic office at 412-749-6001 or johnsc@qvsd.org.
Adult passes are $50 and student passes are $25. Make checks payable to QVSD. Passes are not valid at QVHS away games or any home or away playoff/championship game.
Fall Season Updates:
The boys soccer team was successful in the first two rounds of WPIAL 2A Playoffs, defeating Freeport and Avonworth. They will play Beaver Area High School @ North Allegheny tonight (10/31).

The girls volleyball team defeated Burrell in the first round of the playoffs and took on Central Valley on Saturday at Avonworth. The team then defeated Central Valley on Saturday and will take on Freeport on Tuesday (11/1) @ North Allegheny.

Congratulations to cross country runners Clark LaLomia, Cecilia Montagnese, Tyler Bell, and Ellie Cain! In Thursday's WPIAL AA Championships, they qualified for the PIAA AA Individual Championships in Hershey 11/5.
QV Little Quakers:
Quaker Valley Boys Basketball Coach Mike Mastroianni and the Quaker Valley Boys & Girls Basketball teams will once again host the QV Boys Basketball Little Quakers basketball clinics for all boys and girls in K-4th grade. The clinics are from 9am-10am at Quaker Valley High School Gymnasium on Saturdays – December 3-10-17 and January 7. 22nd Annual Unique Boutique
The 22nd Annual Unique Boutique will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Edgeworth Club, 511 East Drive, Sewickley. Heritage Valley Health System is the sponsor. All proceeds will be utilized to renovate the 5th floor Orthopedic Unit at Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital. There will be 50+ vendors and artists, who will be selling adult/children clothing, home decor, gourmet food and jewelry/accessories. The admission is $20 per person or $40 for admission and buffet lunch. To purchase tickets, go online at www.heritagevalley.org/unique-boutique. Backyard Flag Football
Backyard Flag Football is a non-profit Coed Youth Flag Football League that hosts 2 seasons of flag football each year. Our goal at Backyard Flag Football is to give every child an opportunity to develop, learn the rules and be a participant. We promote team play, good sportsmanship and respect towards teammates, coaches, officials, parents and teachers.
We are gearing up for our Fall/Winter 2022 season and would like to give every child in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas an opportunity to participate in the Backyard Flag Football league. Light Up Your Neighborhood with Sewickley Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts from Sewickley Troop 243 are continuing the tradition of selling luminaria kits for the holiday season. Each kit contains 10 five-inch candles, 10 white paper bags and a bag of sand. The price is $14/kit, by check or PayPal. Orders will be taken through December 5, 2022, with delivery to local homes on Saturday, December 10. The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra performs a FREE concert at Heinz Hall on Sunday, November 13 at 7:30 PM. Maestro Jacob Joyce lead the young and talented student musicians in Jimmy Lopez Bellido’s Techno, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Ballade for Orchestra, selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet, Suite No. 2 and Dvorak’s Symphony #8. The concert is free but tickets are required.

Quaker Valley Youth Wrestling
Registration for Quaker Valley Youth Wrestling is now open for all Quaker Valley youth in grades K - 6.
Practice begins the end of October and runs through the end of February. Your wrestler will learn the skills needed on and off the mat - goal setting, confidence, persistence, and determination.
