Quaker Valley School District

Read the Full Letter

After much consideration by the Board and administration, Quaker Valley will be closed on Monday, April 8, 2024. The peak of the eclipse is expected to occur during dismissal for all buildings, and there is significant potential for students to be tempted to view it without proper safety precautions while exiting schools or on the bus.

In collaboration with other local districts, area agencies, and Monark Transportation, Quaker Valley has determined that a cancellation is the best course of action for the day.

The day will not need to be made up, as the District will use its final available snow day built into our academic calendar.
