Democratic Qualifying for Shelby County Offices for the 2024 election cycle begins Monday, October 9 at 9 am. All nine County Commission seats, two School Board seats, County Superintendent of Schools, and Probate Judge are on the ballot.
There is no qualifying fee for County offices for the 2024 election cycle. The paper qualifying form (Declaration of Candidacy) must be submitted to Marsha Sturdevant, Chair, Shelby County Democratic Executive Committee, in person prior to the November 10, 5 pm deadline. Contact her at 205-936-5953 to arrange for form submission.
Keep in mind, Candidates for State or Federal Races, including other judgeships and circuit court officials, need to qualify with the State Party. Qualifying for state and federal offices opened on Friday, September 29. See more HERE
