May Spotlight:

Coalition Members are Transforming Childcare in the NSC Footprint

“Long-term, early childhood education is an intervention for our societal challenges, such as crime, homelessness, drug problems, etc.,” explained Deanna Finch, Executive Director of United 4 Children. “Studies show a direct correlation between a lack of high-quality childcare and how many beds need to be prepared for prison in a community.”

5byAge5 coalition members are transforming lives in the NSC footprint by providing childcare centers with training, screenings, therapy, parent education, referrals, and the means to purchase new materials and upgrade facilities. Read the full story.
