It is an honor and privilege to lead the fourth generation of Schauer Group into our second century of independent ownership. We have an exceptional team of hard-working associates who deliver industry-leading service and guidance to our growing client base.

As with most successful organizations, it takes a committed leadership team to ensure that we are strategically positioned for the future. I am pleased to announce the following leadership changes at Schauer Group. 

Aimee B. Belden has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer, Taylor D. Schauer has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Bryan D. Schauer has been named executive vice president and Cleveland market leader of the company. 

Aimee has been our culture architect and champion. Her expertise and commitment to operating a company dedicated to our core values is of the highest importance as we continue to invest in our team.

Taylor has assumed the planning and implementation of all financial activities and has us in a strong position to manage through COVID and 2021 headwinds. He will continue to advise clients and handle client relationships.

Bryan has been instrumental in leading the company's geographic growth expansion, a key component of our organic growth strategy, for over 10 years. He will also continue to advise clients across the region.

Jason Guyer joins Cleveland team as
client executive
Jason Guyer has joined the Cleveland office as a client executive.

“Jason’s vast experience will help our clients to identify strategies to mitigate their risk and protect their assets,” said Bryan Schauer, executive vice president and Cleveland market leader. “His knowledge of the Cleveland market will help our company continue its growth trajectory in Northeast Ohio.”

Guyer brings strong business acumen and vast connections from his prior roles at the Greater Cleveland Partnership and COSE. Guyer is a graduate of Otterbein University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and history. He is currently working to obtain his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation from The Institutes. 

He is very active in the Cleveland community, having served or currently serving on many boards and committees, including the YMCA of Greater Cleveland, the West Side Catholic Center, Cleveland State University Athletics Visiting Committee, United Way Young Leaders Cabinet, and Western Reserve Racing. He is a graduate of the Cleveland Leadership Center (both Civic Leadership Institute and OnBoard Cleveland). Guyer and his wife, Kelsey, reside in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland with their dog, Pepper.

Congratulations to Alex Schauer, MBA, and the other community leaders who were selected to receive the "Top 25 Under 35 Movers and Shakers Award" from the The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club. 
Matthew Griffin obtained his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. This is an internationally recognized risk management designation from The Institutes, consisting of nine intensive modules and exams.
Adam Lintz obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. This designation is achieved by the best and most knowledgeable insurance practitioners in the nation.
We are excited to introduce our spring intern, Infiniti Bradley. She is a junior at Walsh University majoring in business & communications. She is a sprinter on the track and field team and is a member of the cheerleading team.

Service Spotlight
Diane Schultz, CISR, vice president of risk management shares her experience as board vice president of Pathway Caring for Children.
What does your service with Pathway mean to you?
It means a great deal to me to support and serve an organization that makes a difference in the lives of at-risk children and families in Northeast Ohio. It is very rewarding to witness children who have been rescued by Pathway graduate high school and plan to attend college.

What does Pathway do for our community?
Pathway Caring for Children's mission is to empower children and families to realize their potential and achieve the possibilities of their lives through innovative mental health, foster care and adoption services. Pathway also provides school based services as well as transitional age services for teens. Many teens in foster care miss out on learning the life skills they need to live on their own once they turn 18 years old. Pathway case managers provide opportunities for hands on learning for essential life skills and support in real-life situations to help assist in this transition.
