Preventing Opioid Use Disorders among Fishing Industry Workers 

The study was led by Dr. Angela Walter, Assistant Professor at UMass Lowell and a CPH-NEW Research Affiliate. Findings from this study are being used to develop interventions to prevent and reduce opioid use disorders among fishing industry workers. This project was a partnership between UML and the Fishing Partnership Support Services (FPSS).  Read more

received the inaugural TWH Founders Award at the 2 nd International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health in Bethesda MD on May 8.

Jennifer Cavallari, ScD  received  the Irving J. Selikoff-Matthew Shafner award from ConnectiCOSH for her commitment to justice on the job and safer workplaces.  
Mazen El Ghaziri, PhD  was selected to serve on the American Nurses Association Steering Committee of the #EndNurseAbuse Professional Issues Panel.
