Dear Catholic Charities Supporters
As hard as it is to believe, Fall has arrived. With it comes a sense of renewal—renewed energy as children return to school, renewed friendships as many neighbors return from their homes in cooler climates, and renewed focus as we fall back into the schedules that might have eased a bit during the lazy days of summer. At Catholic Charities, the season gives us the opportunity to center our efforts around the efficiencies and effectiveness of our organization. From reallocating space to accommodate growth in programming, to revisiting our service delivery structure to assure we have maximum impact, you can be certain that our team

is hard at work implementing processes and practices that guarantee we are making the best use of the resources afforded to us. Not all of this effort will be visible to the general public, and that’s exactly what we hope for—that our continued efforts around quality improvements would appear seamless to those who turn to us for assistance. Just know that it is taking place and we will be stronger and better because of it!
As I continue to get to know the people who are part of this great organization—staff, volunteers and donors—I am struck by the authenticity in their reasons for wanting to be involved. Repeatedly I hear that their involvement with Catholic Charities gives them a sense of purpose, and that this agency has afforded them the chance to live more deeply their faith. Indeed, the opportunities to be a part of Catholic Charities and to live fully our Gospel calling are plentiful. There are many ways to be involved, and I encourage you to learn more by visiting our website at www.ccdpb.org. I think, in addition to finding purpose, you will find that there is much to be learned from those we serve. As Pope Leo XIII once said, “No one is so rich that he does not need another’s help; no one is so poor as not to be useful in some way to his fellow man.” As always, thank you for your prayers and your continued support of our mission.
Sincerely,
