Thank you to our
2026 WTS Partners:
| | | |
Hello WTS Southwest Idaho members and supporters,
This year has been truly amazing! I am honored to serve as President and work alongside such a dedicated and talented community of transportation professionals. Our chapter continues to grow, and I am excited about the opportunities ahead to connect, collaborate, and support one another while advancing the transportation industry.
This year we have and are continuing to expand our professional development programs, strengthening partnerships across our region, and continuing to inspire the next generation through initiatives like Transportation YOU and scholarships to college students. The strength of our chapter comes from the engagement and passion of our members, and I encourage each of you to get involved—whether by attending events, joining a committee, mentoring students, or sharing your expertise.
Thank you for being part of this incredible community. I look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming events and working together to make this a successful and impactful year for our chapter.

| Committee Highlight: Transportation YOU | |
Transportation YOU is a hands-on, interactive program that introduces elementary through high school students—especially those who identify as female—to the many career opportunities within the transportation industry. Established in 2009 in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation, the program helps spark interest in STEM and highlights the wide range of roles and pathways available across all modes of transportation.
At the chapter level, Transportation YOU is a cornerstone of the mission of WTS International. Local volunteers create meaningful connections and develop programming that reflects the needs and opportunities within our own community. These efforts may include hands-on classroom activities, after-school clubs, mentorship opportunities, guest speakers, tours of transportation projects, and participation in community events such as the BSU Engineering and Science Festival, Girl Scouts STEM Fair, and BSU STEM Gems.
Our chapter is excited to welcome two new Transportation YOU Committee Co-Chairs, Alana Flaherty and Bailey Hereford. They are eager to lead this incredible committee and help inspire the next generation of transportation professionals through engaging programs and outreach opportunities for local students.
If you are passionate about mentorship, community outreach, and encouraging young people to explore careers in transportation, we would love for you to join the committee.
