Aaniin (Greetings)
Friends and Relatives of
Women’s Advocates,
I am writing to you with a heart full of gratitude for your ongoing support as we approach Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October. It is a crucial month for us because it’s a time when we shine a light on the pressing issues that affect countless victim-survivors and families in our community – access to safe housing, shelter, and tools to rebuild their lives after abuse. This October, we need to raise $200,000 to continue breaking the cycle of domestic violence.
Here are four ways you can help us
during Domestic Violence Awareness Month:
1. First Light Fundraiser
We are thrilled to invite you to our “First Light Fundraiser” on October 24th. This event promises to be an inspiring morning filled with stories of resilience, hope, and empowerment. Please save the date and purchase your ticket or table today!
2. Watch and Share Our Video Series
Throughout October, we will release a series of powerful videos featuring stories and insights from our team about the work we do for our community 24/7. By watching and sharing these videos with your friends, family, and colleagues, you help spread awareness and amplify our message.
3. Donate to Support Our Mission
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of victim-survivors and their families. Your contribution allows us to provide our 24/7 crisis line, emergency shelter, stable housing after shelter for the folks we serve, and much more. Please consider making a generous donation today.
4. Change Your Annual Donation to a Recurring Donation
Having donations you can count on helps us plan for the future and provides a steady stream of support. Check “Show my support by making this a monthly donation” when you donate online to help our ongoing efforts all year long.
By uniting as a community, we can create a safer and more compassionate world for everyone. Your help allows us to continue our work to break the cycle of domestic violence, and we are forever grateful for your commitment in this endeavor.
Zhawenim (unconditional love),
Holly Henning
